07/30/11 - Epaulet EP CD complete!

I am pleased to announce that the Epaulet EP has a physical form now! Behold of these fine CDs, a limited edition of 300 available to the first 300 folks who want one:

Currently available at shows only, or if you see me around Portland. I shall certainly announce if I feel like getting this up on iTunes and the like. This is, of course, not a particularly recent recording, but it has some of my favorites on there and I felt it was worth making a fuss over. I should mention that Gus Elg over at Skyonion Studios did a lovely job of the mastering on this one (as well as Bayocean Spit, see below), and the classy replication and printing process can be attributed to Nationwide Disc. Those who downloaded the EP earlier will be delighted by a bass track which I added to the song "Somersault," should they choose to enrich their lives with a hard copy of this chipper little record.

As I mentioned above, Gus also did a great job mastering the Bayocean Spit album, which is being processed hot on the heels of Epaulet. I hope to hold a release party in Portland in the late summer or early fall. More news on that as it develops.

In more current events, the kind folks of the ASIFA animation organization invited me back to play their Portland chapter summer gathering for the third year running! This event happens on Saturday, August 13th from 11am-4pm, and is free and open to the public. Once again hosted by Marilyn Zornado at her decommissioned church in St. Johns, it is a fabulous occasion especially if you enjoy such things as animation, friends, eating, drinking, and piņatas. More details can be found at their website.

Well that's it for the time being. I will now go to swim in piles of Epaulet CDs ā la Scrooge McDuck.
